2025 Boston Autism Awareness Events

From March 28 to April 7, 2025, AAF and the Taiwan Autistic Arts Association (TAAA) successfully completed a 10-day series of autism awareness events in Boston.
The first two exhibitions, in collaboration with Yuan3Chi4 Education, highlighted the extraordinary artistic talents of autistic individuals, celebrating creativity, self-expression, and skill development.

The pinnacle of our journey was the 2-day "Advancing Autism Awareness" conference held on April 5th and April 6th at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), affiliated with Harvard Medical School.
At this prestigious event, hosted alongside the Sino-American Medical Exchange Association, experts shared cutting-edge research on autism, and TAAA showcased art therapy cases as impactful examples of holistic support.
Our participation was praised for presenting authentic, hopeful stories from Taiwan’s autistic community and demonstrating the transformative power of art education.

This milestone event was covered by Boston Orange News, further solidifying TAAA’s role as a global advocate for autism awareness and inclusion.
We are deeply grateful to our partners, sponsors, and all who supported this unforgettable journey to amplify autistic voices through culture and education.

Reflecting on Our 2024 Harvard Exhibition: Taiwanese Autistic Artists Shine

We’re excited to share the success of an extraordinary event at Harvard University where the talents of our autistic artists from Taiwan were celebrated.

Our artists’ journey, marked by creativity and resilience, has led to international recognition. Building on last year’s success at the BonBon Art Exchange, we were deeply honored to be invited by the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health to showcase 30 of our works on March 30th and 31st, coinciding with International Autism Day.

Event Highlights

The event opened on March 30th with a ceremony and silent auction, followed by an immersive art exhibit. Workshops explored how sensory experiences inspire creativity, and the day ended with an aboriginal storytelling session.

March 31st featured a martial arts demonstration, more art viewing, a storytelling session, and a panel discussion on "The Role of Art in Health Equity." The event concluded with a successful art auction, raising funds for autism awareness projects.

A Global Conversation on Inclusion

We are proud to have been invited by Harvard University to join a global dialogue on inclusion, empowerment, and the potential of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This event celebrated our artists and fostered collaboration within the broader community. We are deeply grateful for the support from organizations like BonBonUSA Story Town, demonstrating that together, we can create meaningful opportunities that make a real difference.

It was an honor for the Taiwan Autistic Arts Association to be invited to participate in the exhibition.
